he French baguette was introduced to Vietnam in the mid-19th century when Vietnam was part of French Indochina and became a food staple by the early 20th century. During the 1950s, a unique Vietnamese style of sandwich developed in Saigon, becoming a dominant part of the population’s diet also known as “bánh mì”.

Paris Banh Mi Cafe Bakery was founded by Hien Tran who grew up in Paris, France & Doan Nguyen who owned a chain of bakery shops in Saigon, Viet Nam. The first store was open in Orlando, Florida and quickly has grown into a chain of stores located from coast to coast, California to Florida.
